Mr. Porter Coming Soon from Net a Porter!

    Chrissie | Fashion, Menswear, Net-A-Porter, Rolande Mouret | Wednesday, 16 June 2010

Oh see, now this is pretty exciting! Who doesn’t love a well dressed man? H-h-h-ot! As you all know, Net a Porter is one of my fave shopping sites, tons of high end designer threads, shoes, bags, and more for all of us fashionistas. But until now, they’ve never really considered a menswear department. Until Natalie Massenet that is.

Earlier this year, Net A Porter was acquired by Richemont, and when she came on board, Natalie had a slew of new ideas to change the face of Net a Porter and make it well, even better than it already was. Expansions were high on her list, and menswear was numero uno.

Coming Spring 2011, Net A Porter will not just be adding a menswear department, but will be adding a new shopping site that will stand alone, just for men…appropriatelycalled, Mr. Porter. Mr. Porter is expected to launch with exclusive global designers such as Burberry, Ralph Lauren, Yves Saint Laurent, Balmain, MR by Roland Mouret, Dunhill, Margaret Howell, and more. Personally I’m hoping to see a little Tom Ford in the mix as well.

“We’ve wanted to do this for years but never felt it was the right time,” said Natalie Massenet. “This idea did not come from a bunch of people sitting in a boardroom looking at a spreadsheet. It was our customers, our target market, that was asking for this.”

You heard the lady. You asked. She answered. And if you live in London or Manhattan, you will be lucky enough to receive same day service when shopping for the man in your life.

    • Everytime Net A Porter delivers good kinds of men’s wear and suits. I love the first photo where he wores a vest underneath the suit.
