Daily Fashion Tip – What are This Fall’s Sweater Trends?
Oh yes, it’s that time of year again when we have to start thinking about pulling out the longer sleeves. Some of you may have already begun to do so, and others are looking at the closet and thinking you need some tweaking this year. So what can you expect to see in sweater trends this Fall?
If you are thinking about grey, stay with that train of thought. But it’s not all about darks and neutrals this year. No, this fall and winter you want to add a little bit more pop to your wardrobe. Think jewel tones in lively raspberry colors, emerald, and amethyst. The deeper and richer the color, the better. Stick with your greys, as this color has not gone anywhere on the trend meter, and it never hurts to have a little black in your wardrobe either.
You also want to keep an eye on prints. Prints like wide horizontal stripes and argyle are big this year. I know I know, the wide stripes can be a little much at times, but don’t worry about your figure.Pair stripes with a narrow bottom such as straight legged jeans and some heels and you will offset any effect you encounter with the stripes.
As far as styles, look for deep plunging necklines that you can pair with a sweet little camisole, and you also may be surprised to hear that sweater sets and twinsets are making a comeback. Not too sure how long that one will last, but it won’t hurt to have a couple in your closet. And if you really don’t like the twinset look, catch onto another big trend this year, sweater vests. These can be really cute if you get them fitted and wear a cute long sleeved T or top underneath. Another trend that I really like is the wrap sweater, the wrap sweater or wrap style on any garment is one that will never go out of style. Wrap sweaters flatter any figure, and are easy to wear.
