Ok ok ok, yes, I am ACTUALLY going to write about Charlotte York Goldenblatt, played by the always lovely Kristen Davis. No not many people really would put the word “fabulous” beside her fashion plate, but she really and truly is. This is the girl that we all want to be sometimes, a little prim and proper, with never a hair out of place, and skin to die for. For this movie, Charlotte’s character strayed just a bit from the prim and proper, but she still managed to maintain a very sexy look, even when she was styled immaculately with matching…well, everything.
Here Charlotte’s look is just one example of the moving away from the prim and proper, and she looks uber sexy here in an ensemble where lingerie is cleverly styled over a hot pink blouse. We see Charlotte starting to let her hair down, and we like we like how she does this while still maintaining an elegance that only Charlotte can exude. For this scene, the blouse is Vintage, corset by Carine Gilson, Azzedine Alaia skirt, Brian Atwood shoes, and necklace by Jennifer Fisher. (more…)
Ever since she appeared in tres fashionable ‘The Devil Wears Prada’ Anne Hathaway has become an overnight style icon. And here she is at the Beverly Hills premiere of her new movie ‘Rachel Getting Married’ in a stunning Oscar de la Renta dress paired with *To. Die. For.* pumps by the fabulous Christian Louboutin. Like this look? No cheapies today girls, but you can drool, or pick up this very gown, or these very shoes right here…..
No, this is not THE actual dress that Anne wore, but it is the same dress that she wore by Oscar de la Renta. This gorgeous gown features a shirred strapless bodice, flurry upon flurry of pleated ruffles, all on a sweet printed Italian silk fabric. The bodice lining is cotton tulle, and the organza lining is a silk crepe de chine luxurious fabric. The dress just SOUNDS pretty, before you even try it on. Stunning.
*Sigh* And then of course we have the Louboutin pumps to pair. And well, they pretty much speak for themselves, don’t they? Here you have his classic pump in a beautiful glittery silvery gray patent leather. Need I say more? Uh no.
Ralph Lauren wasn’t the only designer who went all out at New York Fashion Week. Oscar de la Renta also made sure his pieces were showcased with pomp and circumstance by commissioning the orchestra of the Polyphonic Spree to perform the music for his show which was held at an old Georgian church right on Park Avenue. To highlight his A-list following, he ensured none other than Victoria Beckham and Roger Federer the U.S. Open tennis ace were front row center.
The collection itself met the expectations of the pomp and introduced a little change in Oscar’s normal motif. He touched on many coming trends such as safari coats, tribal patterns, beading, and big, bold colors. We saw items like this perfect red wool sheath piece, a black and burgundy embroidered suit paired with a cropped jacket, and even a tent dress in earth toned geometric prints.
While he spotlighted some of his standards — cable sweaters and full pants — he off-set those pieces with criss-crossed necklines that made waves on every runway this season. And if that wasn’t enough drama, he finished the show with a strapless number that included a spray of glossy feathers along the neckline. Stunning. Oscar de la Renta.
At the Oscar de la Renta show, Mrs. Becks was well-suited for the occasion in an Oscar de la Renta green and black mini-dress in a vibrant animal print that is signature Oscar. She completed her piece with Givenchy heels and sunglasses from her own collection, DVB.

The dress itself shown here is the closest I could find as the Oscar dress Posh is wearing is a one-of-a-kind. Pictured here you see a Kay Unger Mesh Jewelneck with the abstract print and ruched waist that is so flattering.
You can grab Victoria?s shades at Intuition and buy right from her DVB line. These have also been featured in OK Magazine and are the classic oversized shades for this season.
These shoes from Givenchy ARE the same that Victoria is wearing here. You can purchase these 4 1/2 inch wrapped leather heels in either patent or metallic leather and they come in a pretty dress pump style featuring a peep toe and front cutout. The arch has an open inside with rolled collar edges and true Givenchy style, showcase a smooth leather lining.
