SATC 2 Fashion – Behind the Scenes With Charlotte York Goldenblatt

Ok ok ok, yes, I am ACTUALLY going to write about Charlotte York Goldenblatt, played by the always lovely Kristen Davis. No not many people really would put the word “fabulous” beside her fashion plate, but she really and truly is. This is the girl that we all want to be sometimes, a little prim and proper, with never a hair out of place, and skin to die for. For this movie, Charlotte’s character strayed just a bit from the prim and proper, but she still managed to maintain a very sexy look, even when she was styled immaculately with matching…well, everything.

Here Charlotte’s look is just one example of the moving away from the prim and proper, and she looks uber sexy here in an ensemble where lingerie is cleverly styled over a hot pink blouse. We see Charlotte starting to let her hair down, and we like we like how she does this while still maintaining an elegance that only Charlotte can exude. For this scene, the blouse is Vintage, corset by Carine Gilson, Azzedine Alaia skirt, Brian Atwood shoes, and necklace by Jennifer Fisher. (more…)

SATC 2 Fashion – Behind the Scenes With Carrie Bradshaw

We will start the next series of SATC 2 fashion with your favorite fashionista, Carrie Bradshaw. It should be of no surprise to you that Sarah Jessica was very VERY hands on when it came to putting together her character’s look in each and every scene. For those of you that are not as obsessed with this show/movie series, SJP actually owns a portion of this show, and the movie of course, and so to discover that she is hands on is not at all a newsflash.

Even though SJP DOES have a bevy of stylists and a budget to match her always amazing fashion, she does a lot of the picking on her own, even for big events, interviews, and the promo circuit. Though the two lead designers for costume for this movie were instrumental in creating a lot of her looks, she always had the final say. And Molly and Patty didn’t seem to mind, she made it very easy for them.

“She would go through the racks and do Kiss or Kill,” says Rogers, explaining, “Like it and it stays or you kindly kill it. She’s a very fast edit. She can whittle down 20 racks in no time.”

Rough life. Spotted here in a movie scene, Carrie is wearing a frock by Emilio Pucci, belted by Zac Posen, Chanel bag, and Rodarte cuff. (more…)

Sex and the City 2 Fashion Sneak Peek Part UNE

Chrissie | Celebrities, Celebrity Trend Spotting, Christian Louboutin, Dior | Saturday, 15 May 2010

Ok so we are reigniting Rags, and what better timing? Just days away from the most fabulous premiere this year, Sex and the City 2. And as we well know, Fashion is intended to make a statement, but if you do it right, it tells a story. And there really are no better women to prove this than our favorite girls from Sex and the City. Was stumbling around the latest online issues of my fave fashion mags this morning with my Saturday morning cup of coffee and ran across this oh so enlightening piece on SATC FASHION. Who needs coffee on a Saturday morning when a peek at YSL pumps, Cavalli trousers, and vintage clothing worn by some of my favorite women is staring me in the face.

Naturally I had to share it with you….so hold on tight ladies. Though spoilers have had quite the tight lid on them this year, we can let our imaginations take us to who and what these girls are doing in the upcoming premiere. (I did get wind that Aiden is making a comeback, wtf, that will make things interesting, but not nearly as interesting as these CLOTHES will. Check ‘em out..

Co Costume designers for these fabulous four (uh, luckiest work in the world I say) have adorned these girls in frocks for many many moons now and know them inside out. Molly Richards and Patricia Fields know a good find and who to put it on when they see it.

It’s so easy to dress all of them—you’re just standing in front of the racks and something jumps out at you, like, ‘That’s a fabulous color for Cynthia; that’s so Charlotte,’” says Rogers. “[Even] salespeople now are like, ‘I’ve got a really cute skirt for Kristin.’”

Miranda: Bottega Veneta dress, YSL pumps.
Carrie: Halston Heritage dress, Christian Louboutin heels, Solange Azagury-Partridge necklace.
Samantha: Vintage Item dress, Patricia Field mules, VBH clutch.
Charlotte: Christian Dior suit and bag, Christian Louboutin pumps.

Ever since she appeared in tres fashionable ‘The Devil Wears Prada’ Anne Hathaway has become an overnight style icon. And here she is at the Beverly Hills premiere of her new movie ‘Rachel Getting Married’ in a stunning Oscar de la Renta dress paired with *To. Die. For.* pumps by the fabulous Christian Louboutin. Like this look? No cheapies today girls, but you can drool, or pick up this very gown, or these very shoes right here…..

    Photobucket

No, this is not THE actual dress that Anne wore, but it is the same dress that she wore by Oscar de la Renta. This gorgeous gown features a shirred strapless bodice, flurry upon flurry of pleated ruffles, all on a sweet printed Italian silk fabric. The bodice lining is cotton tulle, and the organza lining is a silk crepe de chine luxurious fabric. The dress just SOUNDS pretty, before you even try it on. Stunning.

*Sigh* And then of course we have the Louboutin pumps to pair. And well, they pretty much speak for themselves, don’t they? Here you have his classic pump in a beautiful glittery silvery gray patent leather. Need I say more? Uh no.
