Well, I wasn’t very nice to the poor dear, earlier, was I? So, here I am extending some karmic goodwill by featuring her in a beauty section. She WAS a supermodel and she got there somehow, even if it wasn’t for being a nice girl. You know, you would think that Christmas party time was the hot season for stylists. Nope. It’s now. Because in the New Year, people start thinking about making changes, doing something different, or looking for a pick me up for the winter blahs. I’ve said it before, and will again, why not go with bangs? We’ve done the fringe bang factor, so why not consider something blunt like this look. This is a little heavier than fringe bangs, and to me, actually offers a little more polish to the look. But make sure you have someone do it for you, and by that I am not referring to your little sister. Yes, this is a job for a stylist. Because it will go one of two ways – Naomi Campbell look, or uh, Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm. And no, you don’t want that.

He/She Needs to – cut your bangs from the top of your head, see how far back Naomi’s go? Ask them to do a radial part and take it from there. Now, this is a lot of hair that will be chopped, so…..prepare yourself. Don’t look if you can’t. Again, if it’s done right, it will be VERY pretty.

Who This Will Work Best On – Anyone that has NO NATURAL WAVE. Don’t fuss with the cowlicks, it just won’t happen. If you have poker straight hair, this will work for you.

How To Maintain – Yes, this is a look that will require some maintenance, but the payoff will be worth it. You will need pomade for hold, because you want them to stay in place all day. I tell you, I am a bangs girl and there is nothing more annoying that blowing them out of your face all day when you are having a bad bangs day. Pomade and either a flat iron or curling iron will put them in place. Then you want to use something to add some shine. You may want to try this with Alterna Hemp Shine and Texturizing Catalyst. This product will give you both the hold and the shine that you are looking for.
