    About

One of the most difficult accessories to obtain is self-confidence. Anyone could have a size 2 figure and the budget to support everything from Louboutins to Stella, but if you don’t have the confidence to pair these beauties with, you just won’t be able to pull it off. My name is Chrissie and I started this blog to indulge my sensitivities in the fashion industry and to provide tips, tricks, and insider scoops on how YOU can achieve that elusive accessory of self-confidence through the magic of style and beauty.

Your beauty is not defined by how you wear your eyeliner, or in the way you carry your Gucci bag. Every person is a poem…and learning how to script your verses in line with your personal story is what will make you beautiful.

Of course, taking a few tips and tricks with you along the way can help you build that confidence you need to tell your story to the people that matter. And that is what Rags and Rouges is all about.
This blog is a team effort between myself and my design genius who I call G. He’s the bomb and the real brains behind this project. He works hard to do all the complicated technical stuff, and I to bring you the content.

Our hope with Rags and Rouges is to bring you what you want to know about fashion that will help you feel more beautiful. This means news, cheap finds, product reviews, beauty tips, daily fashion tips, contests, and whatever else that is industry oriented that crosses my mind. (that could be anything!). From your vintage jeans to the cheekbones you grace with your morning flush, we bring it all to you in Rags and Rouges.

Fashion and anything industry oriented is of great interest to me, and I do enjoy spending my free time reading and learning about it. When I was in high school I was tall and thin and everyone expected me to play basketball. I succumbed to the height pressure, but sadly, an athlete I was not meant to be. The next natural progression of activities for a tall girl to find herself in was modelling. So I tried it out. And my love for fashion was born.

High fashion with couture labels and designers is my greatest interest. I am fascinated by this dimension of creative expression. What I love most about fashion is the artistic nature of it. High fashion is beautiful, but not because it has Gucci, Prada, or Fendi stamped across it. But because the true couture pieces are abstract, ingenious, and artistic extensions of the designer that creates them. And this is why no two pieces of couture are alike. This is the essence of style. Just like every piece on the runway is unique, so is each person wearing it above and beyond the runway.

Style is not about what you look like on the outside, but how you feel about yourself on the inside. You don’t need to be draped in couture to feel fabulous. You just need to know what makes you feel fabulous, and when you’ve found that, there is noone more stylish than you.
