    Happy 50th Birthday to Chanel’s Two-Tone Pump

    admin | Chanel | Saturday, 30 June 2007

    chanel 1

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the timeless shoe that Coco Chanel created in 1957 — round toe, elastic-sided, signature two-toned. The shoe in 1957 was established for the ’50s woman that has places to go outside the home. This shoe was the classic, chic option that provided timeless comfort. Have a look at Chanel’s first two-toned creation.

Simply elegant! This two-toned shoe is one that can still be worn today representing the modern, sophisticated woman that Chanel seeks to create through her creations. Half a century later, each hand made pair still carries the essence of the flaunting of rules and impeccable elegance. This style is irresistible to all women who enjoy styling themselves timelessly.

chanel 3 Here is a picture of today’s two toned pump. I love the addition of the quilt detailing.  So elegant. These shoes are so similar, even with their birthdays 50 years apart.  Only Chanel could do timeless so effortlessly.

    baby pink napa

Can you tell what I have on the brain today, uh huh….My mom told me about this site, and it did not take me long to realize I could do some serious damage here.  Go and check out Shoe Buy, and you will find you could do the same.  We are talking about labels like BCBG Girls, Aerosoles, Timberland, Ecco, Reebok, Keds, Tommy Hilfiger, and of course, the Shoe Master, Stuart Weitzman.

Here you are looking at Weitzman’s Pink Baby Nappa. Ohhh…..isn’t she beautiful?  Where else can you get a pair of Weitzman’s for $70 bucks? If you know, can you share this prized jewel of information? Because until today, such place did not exist in my world.

The beauty of Shoe Buy, and it is a beautiful thing, is they aren’t just about the shoe.  Check out their designer handbags and accessories as well.  Computer cases, luggage, watches, sunglasses, it’s all here. Their choices are not limited to the pretty things categories as well.  Runners, sandals, boots, crocs, I mean, the list is endless. Oh, and did I mention they are currently offering FREE shipping, FREE return shipping and absolutely no taxes? That’s right, the price of the Pink Baby Nappa is the price you see there folks.

I know, let me stop yapping so you can go shopping. go on, go on…..

    Cute Weekender Shoes

    piperlime

Well you know if you are going to put pink on a sneaker, I will at least have a look at it. I am not really into the sneaker thing unless I am playing with my son, or going for a walk. I wear them not for aesthetic purposes.  However, when the good people at Piperlime sent me this email this morning, I got a little excited.  Piperlime is a subsidiary of the parent company The Gap, so you know these are some quality products.

Combine the prettiness of a ballet flat with the structure and durability of a decent sneaker, and you got yourself some pretty sneakers!  What do you think?  This is perfect for weekend wear when you are super cas, or need to run out for a sec but don’t want to look like a total loss.  Great also for office picnics or functions where you need to dress down a bit.

They aren’t cheap, you are looking at about $75 bucks, but with the Gap name behind them, you know they are going to last.  They come in a wide variety of colors and styles, and you can get them in half sizes up to size 10 (YES!). Check out the Mary Jane Style oh, I am torn now.  I think I am sticking with the pink though…..

Daily Fashion Tip — Sunglasses Help Your Beauty Sleep! Yup!

    chanel-sunglasses-1

You heard it hear first girls! It turns out that throwing on those classy Chanel?s will not only look pretty, but ensure beauty sleep as well.

A study conducted by the good people at The Edinburgh Sleep Centre found that body clocks can be adjusted to time zones if light patterns are introduced. To help alleviate jet lag, long distance fliers should wear their shades during the last stages of an overnight flight and for the last several hours after landing.

Our body clock cranks itself up at dawn which is when you can manipulate light exposure. You are simply tricking your biological clock into thinking it is still dark.

This is going to lessen the amount of time required to recover from jet lag, which could take as long as a full 24 hours.

Who cares if you are the only one on the plane sporting some shades? You will look great later, and at the same time, look like the superstar that you are!
